چکیده

Single nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers are widely used as nanoscale sensors for magnetic and electric fields, strain temperature. Nanoscale magnetometry using NV allows example to quantitatively measure local fields produced by vortices in superconductors, topological spin textures such skyrmions, well detect nuclear resonance signals. However one drawback when field sensor has been that an external bias is required perform with centers. In this work we demonstrate a technique which access regime where no needed. This enables new applications might disturb the system under investigation. Furthermore, show our sensitive enough spins outside of diamond zero- ultralow-field resonance.

Magnetic field imaging with nitrogen-vacancy ensembles

We demonstrate a method of imaging spatially varying magnetic fields using a thin layer of nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers at the surface of a diamond chip. Fluorescence emitted by the two-dimensional NV ensemble is detected by a CCD array, from which a vector magnetic field pattern is reconstructed. As a demonstration, ac current is passed through wires placed on the diamond chip surface, and th...

Scanning localized magnetic fields in a microfluidic device with a single nitrogen vacancy center.

Nitrogen vacancy (NV) color centers in diamond enable local magnetic field sensing with high sensitivity by optical detection of electron spin resonance (ESR). The integration of this capability with microfluidic technology has a broad range of applications in chemical and biological sensing. We demonstrate a method to perform localized magnetometry in a microfluidic device with a 48 nm spatial...

Single-Qubit Operations with the Nitrogen-Vacancy Center in Diamond

A concept combining optics and microwave pulses with the negative charge-state of the nitrogenvacancy (NV– ) center in diamond is demonstrated through experiments that are equivalent to single-qubit gates, and decoherence for this qubit is examined. The spin levels of the ground state provide the two-level system. Optical excitation provides polarization of these states. The polarized state is ...

Fast magnetic field manipulations and nonadiabatic geometric phases of nitrogen-vacancy center spin in diamond

Fast quantum spin manipulation is needed to design spin-based quantum logic gates and other quantum applications. Here, we construct exact evolution operator of the nitrogen-vacancy-center (NV) spin in diamond under external magnetic fields and investigate the nonadiabatic geometric phases, both cyclic and non-cyclic, in these fast-manipulated NV spin systems. It is believed that the nonadiabat...

Optical determination and magnetic manipulation of single nitrogen-vacancy color center in diamond nanocrystal

The controlled and coherent manipulation of individual quantum systems is a fundamental key for the development of quantum information processing. The nitrogen-vacancy (NV) color center in diamond is a promising system since its photoluminescence is perfectly stable at room temperature and its electron spin can be optically read-out at the individual level. We review here the experiments curren...
